If there will be more than one user and the chair is to be used for a short period of time then it is important to choose an ergonomic task chair. If you have to get a task chair then you are advised to buy one that can be adjusted and has no armrests. You can include one with lumbar support. When you are choosing an ergonomic task chair, below are some of important things you have to consider.

·         Reasonably upright body- You don’t want to injure your back. If you are going to sit in your chair and operate your computer for some time then you will need an upright chair that will keep your back straight. I know you need your back in the days to come so you need to take care of it.

·         The mouse and the keyboard should be located close to the edge of the desk to avoid the extension of the arms

·         Small gap of about four inches between the keyboard and the desk edge to enable wrists to rest when typing.

·         Elbows should be on the same level with desk surface when typing

·         Feet should rest on the ground

·         There should be a lumbar adjustment so that there is sufficient support to the inward curve of lower back.

·         The screen should be position in a way that the top of the screen is not above the user’s horizontal line of sight.

Task chairs are made of cheaper material and the material is not as comfortable and durable as executive chairs if you sit long in them more than it is designed. Task chairs are economical to buy. This means that they cost less than executive desk chairs. Most people end up using the task chairs as desk chairs due to large budget cuts these days.
